Home First Teams (Rehabilitation) Clinical Placement at Manchester Local Care Organisation (2025-05 – 2025-06)

Conducted domiciliary assessments, including functional, falls-risk and environmental assessments, to identify rehabilitation needs and risks within the home.
Planned and prioritised a home-visit caseload using expected discharge date, waiting list position and geography.
Worked alongside occupational therapists and the wider MDT to support discharge planning and ongoing rehabilitation.
Promoted independence and functional recovery through goal-centred rehabilitation, maintaining accurate clinical records using EMIS and HIVE.

Occupational Health MSK Clinical Placement at Northern Care Alliance (2025-10 – 2025-11)

Assessed and treated work-related MSK and nerve presentations, including tennis elbow, chronic low back pain, sciatica and carpal tunnel syndrome, developing individualised treatment plans.
Used manual therapy techniques including SNAGs, NAGs and cervical AP mobilisations alongside exercise and nerve gliding to support pain management and functional recovery.
Supported return-to-work planning through workstation assessments and rehabilitation tailored to individual job demands.

Stroke Rehabilitation Clinical Placement at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust (2025-11 – 2025-12)

Delivered hands-on rehabilitation for stroke patients across the Bamford classification spectrum, including gait re-education, sit-to-stand practice and trunk control training.
Applied recognised neurological approaches, including Bobath and Carr & Shepherd, to guide treatment and progression.
Worked within an integrated MDT, contributing to goal-setting meetings, coordinated care planning and complex discharge planning, including home visits and risk assessment.
Developed competence in hoist and Molift transfers for patients with significant physical impairment.

Swimming Instructor at Sink or Swim & Aquatic Academy (2022-05 – 2023-07)

Planned and delivered up to 25 classes weekly across a full skill range (beginner to advanced/club level), assessing progress against Swim England standards and recording outcomes digitally.
Structured progression from close hands-on support at foundation stages to independent, coach-led practice at advanced stages.
Delivered individualised 1:1 sessions for children with varying abilities, adapting communication and instructional approach to the individual.
