19/08/2021 - 02/09/2021: HR Assistant
I did work experience as an HR Assistant to Rawr Beauty. In this role I primarily focused on administrative work, managing, updating, and maintaining staff files via People HR and Payescape, drafting and preparing staff changes to contracts and other addendums, and assisting in setting up the payroll. This role taught me how to effectively utilise different apps and functions, such as People HR, Payescape and Excel Spreadsheet. I also had to ensure I had attention to detail when checking payroll reports.
13/10/21 - 31/10/21: Shop Assistant
I worked briefly at my local pharmacy, Mim Pharmacy, where I developed greater customer service and overall better communication skills by interacting directly with customers which was a new endeavour for me. I also worked shorter shifts that lasted at most 2 hours, so it forced me to develop better time management skills and to solve problems quickly and efficiently. My key responsibilities were:
I worked at the Home Bargains store in Canterbury, where my primary role is to be the cleaner of the store and to be able to cover any other jobs that needed doing on the store floor, including till shifts, clearing and organising the shelves, emptying stock, assisting customers and whatever else is required.
September 2015 – June 2020
I attended the Campion School (Wingletye Lane, Hornchurch, RM11 3BX) from Year 7 to Year 11 and completed my KS3 and KS4 there.
I received the following GCSE grades in August 2020:
I re-enrolled into the Campion School to attend their Sixth Form to complete my A-Levels. I studied Government and Politics, History and Business Studies with my final grades being A*AB.
These subjects have helped me build a persuasive and analytical mindset by forcing me to assess the benefits and downfalls of different and opposing sides, assisting me in making informed decisions. My subjects also taught me to condense information in a meaningful manner that’s easy to comprehend, especially when the information can be deemed complicated and easily feel convoluted if not understood in an orderly and coherent manner.
September 2022 – Modern Day
I enrolled at the University of Kent in Canterbury. I am majoring in Politics and International Relations and am currently in my second year and am working towards achieving my bachelor's degree.
