I am a Brazilian graduated sixth form from Bexleyheath Academy, who just finished my A-Levels in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics. Growing up in Brazil, Portugal, and the UK has deeply influenced my passion for science. Applying scientific principles to improve people's lives in various ways drives my interest.
I am particularly intrigued by the interplay between biology and chemistry and its applications in diverse scientific domains. I have actively sought opportunities to enhance my practical skills and teamwork through work experience placements. I participated in a workplace experience program at a Portuguese in vitro fertilization facility, where I conducted laboratory analysis of patient tests and supported medical analysis.
Additionally, I also had a work experience at a multinational nutrition company, The Archer-Daniels-Midland, where I contributed to rapeseed and sunflower oil lab tests, performed material analysis using various instruments, and developed the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. I believe in giving back to the community, and last year, I dedicated my time to volunteer tutoring at Bexleyheath Academy. I assisted students with science subjects, particularly maths and chemistry, and helped them develop excellent study skills and their passion with science.
