Julia Loftus

I am a creative design student specialising in printmaking. I am a customer-oriented designer with an eye for commercial fashion and detail in product styling. I moved from Paisley to Edinburgh last September and have been studying whilst working, I am outgoing and friendly and would love to become part of your team

Most recently I worked in Harris Tweed & Pringle on the Royal Mile - February 2022 - August 2022 - Working on the shop floor passing on advice and knowledge to customers and co-workers on what I know about the history of Harris Tweed and design. Selling high end luxury products and representing the face of Kiltane to each customer I sell products too. Shadowing my manager and helping decorate the shop windows to attract more customers and appeal to all target markets

Urban Outfitters - September 2021 - February 2022 - Working as a retail sales employee, helping dress the mannequins as each new collection arisen. Helped organise shop floor making it look more appealing to a young target market

I have designed and drawn an album cover for the Jazz singer "Kitti" based in Glasgow which reached #1, I hold a design account on instagram named julesdesigns__ which holds some of my most recent work

Currently I am doing my Bachelor of Arts in Design for Textiles, Fashion, Interior, Art at Herriot Watt University - 2021 - 2024 - Creating a collection out of my own fabrics and prints, customising final garments to be put to the final stage of design. Screen-printing my own wallpaper using my own drawings and images based around a concept I was drawn to. Weaving a textile that finally got put into a pillowcase based around my theme and concept.

I completed my HND in Graphic Design and Visual Communication, 2018 - 2020 at Glasgow City College

Prior to this I completed an HNC in Art and Design as Langside College, 2017 - 2018
