Support Worker – Band 3 - NHS Lothian

Over 16 years' continuous service – currently at top of pay band. Permanent post within NHS Lothian, working across different areas including acute hospital wards, specialist neurology, and community outreach. Maintained an excellent attendance and conduct record throughout service.

Worked extensively on a dedicated neurological ward, providing care for patients with highly complex, progressive and life-limiting conditions. Worked regularly with the Hospital to Home team, delivering care in patients' own homes to enable safe early discharge or support people who wished to remain at home. Supported patients from admission through to discharge or end of life, working closely with specialist nurses, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, and doctors to deliver care tailored to each individual's condition and changing needs.
