A dedicated and compassionate Band 3 Support Worker with over 16 years' continuous experience working for NHS Lothian. Highly skilled in delivering person-centred care across both acute hospital wards and community settings, with specialist expertise in complex neurological care and end-of-life support. Extensive experience supporting patients with conditions such as Motor Neurone Disease (MND), Parkinson's Disease, brain tumours, acquired brain trauma/injury, dementia, and other progressive or complex health needs.
Specific experience working with the Hospital to Home team, providing sensitive palliative care in people's own homes, supporting both patients and families through difficult times. Reliable, calm under pressure, and fully trained in all mandatory healthcare practices including moving & handling, medication support and safeguarding.

Worked extensively on a dedicated neurological ward, providing care for patients with highly complex, progressive and life-limiting conditions. Worked regularly with the Hospital to Home team, delivering care in patients' own homes to enable safe early discharge or support people who wished to remain at home. Supported patients from admission through to discharge or end of life, working closely with specialist nurses, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, and doctors to deliver care tailored to each individual's condition and changing needs.
