I graduated from Royal College of Art with an MA in Fashion Womenswear. I gained a BA degree from Central Saint Martin’s Fashion Womenswear. It allowed me to explore unusual ideas and turn them into actual pieces, such as my Pop-up dresses collection (inspired by the pop-up books) by using paper kinetic engineering techniques, encouraging students to experiment with different materials other than fabric.
I am skilled in fashion design, making and manufacturing. I have worked for several conceptual fashion brands and in different fashion fields, including Womenswear, Childrenswear to Menswear, for years. In addition, I have eight years of experience in teaching Fashion Design and Pattern Cutting at the Hong Kong Design Institute as a Part-time lecturer.
I have acquired a good understanding of European and Far East fashion culture. Fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English, which assisted me in communicating confidently with multi-racial people.
I just moved from Hong Kong to London in July 2022. I ran a design sample room which produced small production and sample for different brands and a small childrenswear brand Rabbithole before I came to London. It closed down during the pandemic. I currently work as a Fashion Jewellery designer and established a small brand focused on recycling material. I also work as a freelance pattern cutter in London. I have been working in multi-task mode since I was a student at Central Saint Martins; it makes me a very efficient and organised person who can handle different projects simultaneously.
I have a strong passion for fashion and am determined, adaptable and able to work under high pressure. I would put full dedication into my work and also into learning and appreciating the fashion market and the business.
I have run a small design house with a sample room in Hong Kong since 2016, providing my clients with fashion design and sample-making services. I also had a small Childrenswear brand Rabbithole for six years. I stopped running the brand and the sample in 2021 during the pandemic.
Before I started the design house, I worked as a Fashion Designer for a conceptual Fashion Brand, Handkerchief. I was responsible for developing the concept and designing products for the brand. Meanwhile, Handkerchief was a subsidiary of a fabric factory in China. I was also responsible for developing fabric and lace at the same time.
I also worked as a part-time lecturer at Hong Kong Design Insitute for 8 Years in Fashion design and branding courses and Garment making courses.
