I work with a dentist and hygienist on a daily basis, i will open and complete courses for the dentist i have completed notes and also wipe everything down once the patient has left. I have also worked in LDU cleaning equipments putting them through inspecting them and putting them away in the correct place.

I have also had training on reception booking patients in and answering phone calls.

This was a placement experience for my level 1 NVQ and level 2 diploma in childcare. Through this I learnt to build up my self-esteem and confidence by talking to people of all ages and socialising with children's parents. I also gained great listening skills when I had to listen to my duties and tasks given to me for the day, I then had to carry out these duties for the children.

Time keeping and teamwork was essential for this role as schedules must be on point for every task to fit nicely into place by the end of the day.

This was work experience for two weeks in a doctor's surgery, helping and shadowing the receptionist. Through this experience I developed excellent communication skills, note taking skills, and if any questions were asked by the public that I did not understand or could not answer, I would call a member of staff who could.
