Kamil Koroma

I’m a London-based Junior Software Engineer with a background in media and digital culture. After completing General Assembly’s Software Engineering Immersive, I’ve developed full-stack web applications using JavaScript, React, Node.js, Express, MongoDB, and Python/Django.

My previous experience in marketing and media analysis helped me build strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills — which I now apply to writing clean, efficient code and creating intuitive user experiences.

I’m currently seeking opportunities to contribute to a collaborative engineering team, grow my technical expertise, and help deliver meaningful digital products.

Before transitioning into tech, I worked in offline media account management — collaborating with a data and analytics team, communicating with media owners on the behalf of clients, and managing data-driven campaigns. Since completing my software engineering training, I’ve built and deployed several full-stack web applications, applying agile methodologies, python and modern JavaScript frameworks to deliver responsive, user-centred designs.

I recently completed the Software Engineering bootcamp at General Assembly, a course focused on full-stack development with JavaScript, React, Node.js, Express, MongoDB, and Python/Django.

I also hold a BA in Media Studies from the University of Kent and an MA in Digital Culture & Society from King’s College London.
