From April 2025 to the present, I've gained valuable retail experience at JD Sports. I'm skilled in stock management, including stock checks and organisation, and proficient with till operation. During my time at JD Sports, I developed strong communication and customer service skills through assisting customers with inquiries and purchases. I took part in work experience as a Sales Assistant at Rodd and Gunn Retail in John Lewis stores from June 2024 to August 2024. My main responsibilities included providing exceptional customer service as I was responsible for greeting customers, assisting them with product selections and recommendations, and maintaining the visual presentation of the store. I played a key role in achieving monthly sales targets, consistently contributing to an increase in sales by selling a certain amount of products in a time frame during my tenure.
Additionally, I developed strong product knowledge and built lasting relationships with customers, which enhanced their shopping experience. I received positive feedback from customers for my exceptional service. During my time there, I developed strong communication and problem-solving skills, multitasking skills, as well as the ability to work effectively as part of a team, while fostering a passion for high-quality retail.

My role as a crew member at McDonald's includes problem solving, helping my team meet all standards and tracking operations. While also being responsible for customer service, food preparation, and cleanliness and hygiene while also interacting with customers, taking orders and any questions or queries. This means cleaning up, making sure that everywhere is up to a certain standard and is clean and safe for food to be prepared.
Another important part of my role includes being guest obsessed and always putting the guests/customers experience at the centre of everything you do to ensure that they have a great experience when entering the restaurant.
Work Experience - Boots - Nottingham headquarters

I took part in work experience at the Nottingham boots headquarters for one week, while I did this I met people from different departments throughout the three days as they guided me and spoke to me about the roles within their job. I spent some time with the marketing team as well as the design department where they went through branding and marketing within boots. I also was given an I Mac where I was given a task to make a poster and conduct research on all the brands that Boots cooperates with that I liked, and also brands that I didn't know that boots partnered with.
Market Research - Beano Magazine

While I took part within market research this expanded my understanding and communication skills, I often communicated with others within the Beano team while in this job. Thus, meaning that I would give my opinion on certain things that Beano may potentially add to their website to expand and make more interesting for others. Beano used my personal opinions and preferences to help better the website.
I contributed within helping the brand stay ahead of trends within the current times by feeding back to the Beano team and giving my opinion on what children were following in that given moment of time. I also closely followed and understood the trends to forecast to Beano the impact of these trends. I used outstanding interpretational skills to build relationships with the interviewees, optimizing honest, productive feedback to benefit the company.
