I am committed, self-motivated and determined to succeed in my work. I am not only able to work well on my own using my own skills and techniques but also to work with others as a team member. I have lived at home with my parents and 2 sisters until now.
I was adopted, aged 2, with my sisters. I have not always found things easy due to my early start in life. I also am dyslexic and have struggled academically at times. Due to these factors, I am able to show empathy with and have a greater understanding of children from a difficult background, or those with behavioural issues and educational needs.
Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship at Knowle Primary School (2021-09 – 2022-11)
During this year I have supported and led a variety of PE lessons across all ages in Key stage 1 and 2. I've planned lessons using the Real PE app as well as additional lessons to assist progression, close gaps and support children with additional needs or excelling. I have had training in safe restraint and often support the pupils with behavioural difficulties, being able to spot early signs of anxiety and defensive behaviours successfully de-escalating these behaviours before they reach a crisis level.
Successfully following the school and learning academies policies I have gained a great deal of knowledge in positive behaviour strategies and techniques to encourage self learning and a willing to learn attitude. Going above and beyond I've accompanied children on trips and sporting events out of school in my spare time. I have managed school football, athletics and netball teams.
I have been part of the rota in breakfast and after school clubs and also helped at school fairs and events.
Support Worker at Harmeny Education Trust (2023-03 – 2024-03)
At Harmeny I worked in a team with adults to help look after kids that have had hard experiences in childhood. Which meant i had to look after the children on a day to day basis by being a positive figure. Throughout the year of working at harmony I have learnt many new skills and techniques such as taking a training course called CAHMS which includes how to put the kids into a safe hold when showing unsafe behaviours.
I have also gained a lot of experience by being able to complete tasks that were set by managers and colleagues by being in a team and working independently to complete those tasks. A lot of the adults I worked with praised me on how well I could manage behaviours and how I could run successful shifts.
Amazon Delivery Driver at Amicus (2024-04 – 2024-11)
I started a new job as a Amazon delivery driver for a company called Amicus in Scotland, throughout my time delivering I learnt a lot of valuable skills and techniques that helped me deliver parcels in a quick and efficient way. I built many professional relationships with my customers along the way, which involved having friendly conversations on a regular basis. I have gained a lot of confidence talking to people that I've never met which has helped me to this day, I have also been able to help my colleagues by picking up routes if they are behind or struggling, to help them finish their route.
Amazon Delivery Driver at Malooba (2024-11 – 2025-05)
Once I moved back to Plymouth shortly after this I returned to being a delivery driver for Amazon with a company called malooba for about 6 months. I left malooba due to the managers all treating us badly and doing over 230 stops a day.
Amazon Delivery Driver at Momento (2024-12 – 2024-12)
I worked for a different Amazon company called momento. Momento treated me a lot better and again I was a team player and finished my route and went to help others. I again had great customer service and really enjoyed putting a smile on peoples faces. I ended up working there until after Christmas.
Parcel Shop Route Driver at Evri (2025-01 – 2025-07)
I started a job with evri doing a parcel shop route. It was 15 stops but had to drive a lot further and for longer to deliver. I enjoyed this as I love driving and seeing new places it was a really good experience. I worked there for 6 months and again I would finish and offer to help others empty there vans.
