My roles in HR over the last 22 years have been very varied. I would say I am a HR Generalist at heart. I have worked for startup/small companies mainly and watch them grow into medium size businesses. I can work in a standalone position and build a team that makes a significant impact into running a successful business.
I pride myself on the fact I can change people’s attitudes to HR within the business. I make it my mission to get to know every employee where possible, work with them to ensure that we are delivering everything we sold to them at interview. I believe without a successful, happy workforce there would not be a successful business.
It is important to me that I work closely with the CEO and Senior Management to ensure that my role and what I deliver is in line with the company vision and goals.
My greatest strengths are ensuring that first impressions of any business I work in are second to none. You only get one chance. With my skills in onboarding throughout the career lifecycle of an employee you can guarantee the retention rate within your business will be low providing management support the function and productivity levels rise.
I love my career in HR, to watch employees grow, being part of a successful business makes me feel proud. Any business I work for I have to be passionate about the service we provide, if we at senior management can not feel this how do we expect our employees to deliver a first class service without passion.
