Kashifa Mirza

I am currently completing my CIPD Level 3 Foundation Certificate in People Practice and I am looking to build my career in Human Resources. I have worked in care since 2021 in roles that require responsibility, good communication, accurate record keeping and the ability to work calmly in different situations. Through my work, I have developed strong skills in report writing, handling confidential information, following procedures, recording important information and communicating concerns clearly to colleagues and senior staff.

Working night shifts has also helped me become organised, reliable and confident working independently. I am used to managing several responsibilities during a shift, making sure records are completed correctly and responding appropriately when situations change. My CIPD studies are helping me develop a better understanding of people practice, organisational culture, evidence-based practice, employee experience and professional behaviours.

I am now keen to use both my existing work experience and my developing HR knowledge in an entry-level HR role.

Night Care Support Worker at Supportability (2021-11 – Present)

I support people living with cerebral palsy and associated disabilities and help to provide safe and consistent care during night shifts.

• Completing accurate and up-to-date care records, observations and shift documentation.
• Writing clear reports when incidents, concerns or changes need to be recorded.
• Providing detailed handovers so that important information is communicated correctly to the next shift.
• Handling personal and confidential information carefully and professionally.
