With over 17 years of dedicated experience in CAFM systems, I have developed a deep-rooted passion for leveraging technology to optimise facility operations, enhance efficiency, and deliver exceptional service standards. My career has been defined by hands-on expertise in implementing, managing, and refining CAFM platforms across diverse sectors, including education, corporate real estate, and large-scale commercial properties.
My journey with CAFM systems began in 2007, and since then, I have mastered a wide array of platforms, including Planon, Maximo, Concept, and ARCHIBUS, among others.
Group, I currently serve as the Helpdesk & Systems Manager, where I spearheaded the re-implementation and mobilisation of the CAFM system across 12 colleges. My responsibilities include developing robust procedures for planned preventative maintenance, statutory inspections, and reactive maintenance, ensuring compliance and operational excellence. I take pride in creating data-driven reporting tools, managing SLAs and KPIs, and collaborating with finance teams to streamline procurement and cost tracking—all while enhancing the student and staff experience through modernised processes.
I worked with BGIS as a CAFM Manager/Engineering Support Manager, where I specialised in Maximo and Concept platforms. I led asset verification projects, data validation, and system configuration, ensuring seamless mobilisation for new contracts. My ability to translate business requirements into CAFM functionality has consistently delivered measurable improvements in workflow efficiency and asset management.
At 22 Bishopsgate, I managed the CAFM system for Europe’s largest multi-let building, implementing SMART systems and developing innovative modules like electronic Permit to Work. This role honed my skills in data integrity, user training, and cross-stakeholder collaboration, further solidifying my reputation as a CAFM specialist.
My earlier roles, including Lead CAFM Technician at George Birchall Service Ltd and Systems Administrator at Iron Mountain, allowed me to build foundational expertise in system administration.
I thrive on solving complex challenges, whether it’s cleansing data, designing user-friendly interfaces, or integrating CAD/BIM models. My familiarity with over 20 CAFM/CMMS/IWMS platforms, combined with my BIFM certification and IOSH training, underscores my commitment to professional growth.
