I am developing strong experience in work involving the Court of Protection, Inquests and serious medical treatment, communicating directly with clients like NHS trusts and the Professional Standards Authority, regularly attending Court and applying case law like the Mental Health Act 1983 and article 5 of the 1998 Human Rights Act. I manage 20 Court of Protection Deprivation of Liberty cases and 20 NHS Trust inquest files independently, including billing and direct applications to Court, as well as progressing cases in a variety of areas, ranging from regulatory investigations and professional discipline to complex public law and safeguarding matters. Despite entering the role without prior specialist knowledge, I adapted quickly, demonstrating initiative, resilience and the ability to learn complex subject matter at pace.

I read and advised numerous cases covering the aforementioned legal fields, corresponded with claimants and Owners and shadowed solicitors' work. Work included but not limited to administrative assistance and working on online databases, drafting documents such as a security for costs, investigating contractual disputes and the application of Hague Visby rules in dispute resolution, writing an article about the legal issues in a case concerning the breach of an exclusive jurisdiction rights clause and the implications of sanctions on commercial relationships.

I worked full-time teaching English to Spanish children aged 3-15, as the only native English speaker in my school. My role included delivering lessons, planning lessons, assisting teachers, conducting speaking sessions and English language activities with my students and greatly improved the level of English in my school, which was in a low-income area with little opportunities. I decided to also organise independent extra-escolar sessions with students with learning difficulties and those who could not afford extra English academy lessons.
I have gained commercial awareness, cross-cultural communication skills and international experience, navigating living and working independently in a new city, partnered with learning a completely new language, in which I have gained intermediate proficiency having worked 4 hours a week after work voluntarily to gain certification.
