Katherine Goldsworthy

I am a Psychology and Criminology graduate (BSc Hons, 2:1) with hands-on experience supporting neurodivergent children and young people across primary and secondary SEN settings. Since graduating in summer 2024, I have worked as a 1:1 Learning Mentor, providing emotional, behavioural, and pastoral support to individuals with complex needs, building strong therapeutic relationships and responding calmly to distress, dysregulation, and safeguarding concerns. My academic background, combined with my frontline experience supporting children with additional needs and my own lived experience as a neurodivergent individual, has strengthened my passion for helping neurodivergent young people thrive in educational settings.

I am personally interested in person-centred, listening-based approaches that promote wellbeing, confidence, and inclusion. I am eager to continue developing my knowledge while contributing to meaningful SEND provision and helping to create genuinely inclusive mainstream learning environments. I bring a reflective, compassionate, empathetic, and grounded approach to support work, with a strong understanding of boundaries, confidentiality, and the importance of feeling heard.
