Katie Stevenson

I am a hardworking, responsible and approachable person who takes pride in treating others with respect and fairness. I am able to remain calm and professional in challenging situations, while listening carefully to others and communicating clearly. I work well as part of a team, but I am also confident in using my own initiative and taking responsibility when needed.

I understand the importance of honesty, integrity and accountability, particularly in a role where people rely on you to make fair and responsible decisions. I am motivated by the opportunity to help and protect others, contribute positively to my community and make a genuine difference through a career in policing. I am committed to learning, developing my skills and maintaining high standards in everything I do.

Throughout my working life, I have gained valuable experience across a range of roles, including café supervision and bar work, which have developed my communication, teamwork, leadership and ability to remain calm and professional in busy and challenging environments. I currently work as a domiciliary care assistant, providing care and support to individuals in their own homes. This role has strengthened my compassion, patience, responsibility and ability to build trust with people from a variety of backgrounds, while also requiring professionalism, confidentiality and good judgement.

I believe these experiences have provided me with strong transferable skills that I can bring into policing. Having developed both personally and professionally through my previous roles, I am now ready to take the next step in my career and apply the knowledge and skills from my Professional Policing degree to a career in the police service.

I studied Public Services at Coleg Llandrillo for 3 years and then proceeded on to attending University for 3 more years to study my Professional Policing degree which I gained last July 2025.
