Primary School Teacher (2021-09 – 2025-05)
My teaching experience has allowed me to learn and now transfer a range of skills and qualities across many career paths. I am extremely organised and I am always excited to deepen my understanding and learn new concepts, whether that is through research, staff meetings, curriculum briefings, and subject-specific CPD. I keep a calm, consistent approach to managing situations, underpinned by strong rapports, clear expectations, and a positive social culture.
It is essential that the workplace policies are consistently adhered to, and most importantly the safeguarding of all children. I have vast knowledge of supporting all children, including Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH). It is crucial to understand the importance of adaptive and therapeutic approaches.
This role strengthened my behaviour management skills, and my ability to work collaboratively with relevant professionals. I gained significant knowledge of understanding trauma informed support. It was crucial that I not only appreciated the vast heart-wrenching situations, but I recognised and explored each circumstance with compassion and a can-do attitude to support appropriately.
I have strong data inputting, analysis, and strategic planning skills, through teaching. I am experienced in accurately recording and managing data, analysing outcomes to show patterns, strengths, and areas for improvement. Using this information, I created next-step plans, short-term and long-term.
I continually developed and implemented clear, structured plans, setting measurable and achievable targets, adapting my approach where necessary. These skills have allowed my attention to detail to flourish, analytically thinking and showing my ability to plan effectively for future progress.
Gymnastics and Trampoline Coach (2015-01 – 2018-05)
I am a quailed level 3 gymnastics and level 3 trampoline coach. My excellent organisation skills enabled me to keep track of each child's progress and plan personalised training programs for various groups of children with a wide range of skills and abilities.
I was also in charge of a squad of competitive gymnasts where it was my responsibility to choreograph floor routines adhering to health and safety guidelines and follow British Gymnastics rules and regulations. Within two years I progressed to a leadership role where I became the first point of contact for parents and managed a team of coaches. This involved scheduling colleague task rotas, dealing with payments of merchandise, enquiries and any complaints that may arise.
As part of my role, I also worked at head office completing administrative tasks such as providing customer service to parents and helping to process new student applications.
Hospitality Professional (2014-07 – 2021-12)
I have extensive hospitality experience within the hotel and restaurant environment. During my employment within the hotel sector, I developed a wide range of skills through working on my own and as part of a team, supporting weddings and large events through first-class service. My roles included night porter duties, cocktail making, restaurant waitressing with assistant management responsibilities, and handling cash management tasks such as money counting stock taking and ordering.
I regularly dealt with customer enquires, professionally, managing both complaints and positive feedback, ensuring guest left feeling heard and valued. This experience strengthened my customer service skills, working under pressure and multi-tasking whilst making quick decisions.
