Kayla Mchugh

My name is Kayla McHugh, and I am seventeen years old. I am a hardworking and mature person who is willing to learn new skills and work on my own personal growth. I enjoy spending my spare time with my family and friends as well as working in teams because teamwork brings out a positive and outgoing atmosphere.

I would love to have the opportunity to challenge myself with new challenges and tasks and see them through with much dedication. I would be willing to expand my knowledge and practical skills in these areas of work. I take pride in my excellent reliability and am eager to contribute my energy and enthusiasm to this team.

Waitress and Barista - Cafollas at the Square

(2024-05)

I have work experience as a waitress as well as a barista. Within this role, I have the responsibility to serve customers their drinks and meals politely and with respect as well as ensuring that their service is up to their standards. Through this role, I have gained customer service skills and understand that customers must be prioritised to meet their expectations.

I have also gained great teamwork skills while working with my colleagues and ensuring that we are all up to date with the recent events within the café. This ensures that we all share the same goals and outcomes when facing challenges within the setting. This role requires time management which I play a significant part in ensuring that our customers receive their meals within a prompt manner.

I am also trained on the tills and understand how to take payments and count change as well as being trained on the coffee station. Through my time working on the coffee station, I have worked on each different type of coffee and understood the differences between them. I follow instructions carefully to prevent any misunderstandings of mistakes through taking orders.
