• Medications/IV: IV cannulation, IV fluids, IV antibiotics, analgesia administration, antiemetics, anticoagulant precautions, medication reconciliation
• Post-op/Surgical Care: wound assessment, dressing changes, drain management (JP), stoma awareness (if applicable), monitoring for hemorrhage/infection
• Monitoring/Procedures: vital signs of trending, ECG monitoring, blood glucose monitoring, catheter care, specimen collection
• Patient Education/Discharge: discharge teaching, pain plan education, mobility/IS coaching, DVT prophylaxis education
• Safety/Quality: aseptic technique, infection prevention, fall prevention, safeguarding, incident reporting, SBAR handover, multidisciplinary collaboration
• Peripheral IV cannulation
• Phlebotomy and venipuncture
• Indwelling catheter insertion both Male/Female
• PEG Feed trained
• Practice Educator and Supervisor (PEAP)
• Mentor and Assessor (Staff Supervisions and Appraisals)
• PGD competent (Patient Group Direction)
