As a person who started their nursing career later in life, I bring a range of life experiences, which when combined with my nursing skills makes me an effective and compassionate nurse who has a lot to offer to a team. I am passionate about providing outstanding care and outcomes to service users. I believe that evidenced based practice, innovation, interpersonal skills, and genuinely joined up teamworking are the key to achieving this.

I am enthusiastic, practical and results driven, leading me to continually seek solutions and innovations to improve care and services. I have an exemplary academic record and have proved myself to be a valued member of my current team. Having worked with those with complex mental health needs I decided to specialise on ADHD and become a non medical prescriber with ADHD as my scope.

I am comfortable with comprehensive assessment, prescribing, report writing, titration, side effect monitoring and follow up. I worked with service users through titration of medication and safety planning alongside my senior nurse role responsibilities. As ADHD became my area of interest and an area I felt I excelled I have made the move to ADHD as my sole specialty.

I believe that in this area my ability to quickly build rapport, allowing patients to feel listened to, whilst maintaining professionalism and staying within required time restraints is my strength. This allows patients to have a positive experience whilst maintaining efficiency.
