My role at MJ quin consisted of:

• Pulling fiber optic cables through underground conduits, along utility poles, or within buildings, following specific pathways and ensuring proper tension
• Use cable pulling machines, winches, and manual techniques as needed, often requiring coordination with a team for long cable runs
• Preparing work sites to ensure the necessary tolls, materials and safety barriers are in place
• Handling and securing cables to Protect the integrity of fiber optic cables by avoiding excessive bending, twisting, or pulling that could damage the cables
• Working with my team following instructions and providing support to ensure smooth and safe cable installation

Labourer - Everton Stadium (Mersey Vent Ltd & Titan Interior Solutions)

for both companies including Mersey Vent Ltd (February 2024 – July 2024) & Titan Interior Solutions (March 2023 – February 2024), both roles applied the same thing but with different materials, so I was able to learn from each company about new things. My Duties Day to Day would include:

• Assisted skilled tradespeople by preparing and maintaining work areas, transporting materials, and supporting the setup and breakdown of equipment
• Performed routine site preparation tasks, including clearing debris, loading and unloading supplies, and organizing tools and equipment for efficient site operations
• Preparing and cleaning the site ready for other tradespeople
• Ensured compliance with health and safety guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), maintaining a safe and hazard-free work environment
• Regularly inspected materials for quality, reported defects to supervisors, and helped maintain site standards and cleanliness
• Worked collaboratively with team members to meet project deadlines, demonstrating strong communication and teamwork skills

Warehouse operative - B&M

• Accurately picked, packed, and processed orders to ensure timely delivery, consistently meeting daily quotas and minimizing errors
• Conducted regular inventory checks, managed stock replenishments, and helped maintain accurate inventory records
• Maintained a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment in compliance with health and safety guidelines, which contributed to a decrease in on-site incidents
• Coordinated with other team members and departments to meet daily and weekly shipping targets, demonstrating strong teamwork and communication skills
• Participated in weekly stock counts and audits, helping to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions that improved overall stock accuracy
