Group Safety and Compliance Manager - Think Access Group (TAG)

Provide strategic Health, Safety, Environmental and Compliance leadership across four group subsidiaries, partnering directly with the Board, CEO and Managing Directors to oversee governance, legislative compliance and digital assurance. Lead the continual development of Group management systems, accreditation programmes and operational compliance, supporting Contracts and Operations Managers through remote governance, site assurance and legislative guidance.

• Identified significant legislative risks associated with forthcoming regulatory changes, securing full Board commitment to a proactive compliance strategy and protecting the organisation from substantial regulatory exposure.
• Selected by the Board to lead the transition towards Director-level safety governance, currently undertaking the majority of executive compliance responsibilities while helping future-proof the Group's leadership structure.
• Authored the Group's 2025 to 2027 Strategic Governance and Legislative Gap Analysis, strengthening Board assurance and supporting Director responsibilities under Section 37 of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act.
• Supported development of the organisation's AI-assisted compliance platform, providing operational safety expertise for AI-augmented RAMS and COSHH workflows while maintaining mandatory Human-in-the-Loop verification and alignment with ISO 27001 and ISO 42001 principles.
• Standardised Group PPE reserve stock levels and ADR battery transport protocols to strengthen operational resilience and regulatory compliance.
• Led successful Group-wide ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 surveillance and re-certification audits, maintaining certification and supporting continued eligibility for Tier 1 client contracts.
• Developed operational risk controls for complex lifting and rescue activities, significantly improving emergency response capability during high-risk operations.

Health and Safety Specialist, Training and Compliance - British Steel

Responsible for health, safety and compliance across eight operational plants and the Immingham Bulk Terminal on a top-tier COMAH site, supporting the safety of more than 300 employees.

• Designed and delivered an enhanced Level 3 Risk Assessment training programme that exceeded existing company standards.
• Increased hazard reporting by 26% while contributing to an 18% reduction in workplace injuries. Delivered monthly PDCA presentations to senior leadership, supporting continuous improvement across multiple operational areas.
