I am a senior humanitarian and development leader with more than 21 years of experience leading complex emergency, recovery, and development programmes across Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and globally. Currently serving as Country Director for Save the Children in Pakistan, I have held senior leadership, advisory, and operational roles at country, regional, and global levels, with responsibility for strategy, organizational performance, humanitarian response, partnerships, donor engagement, governance, and operational excellence.
My experience spans some of the world's most challenging contexts, including Pakistan, Afghanistan, Yemen, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Sierra Leone, Turkey, Jordan, Tunisia, and across Asia. Throughout my career, I have led multidisciplinary teams, managed large and diverse portfolios, strengthened partnerships with governments, donors, UN agencies, and civil society organizations, and championed quality, accountability, safeguarding, and locally led approaches.
Beyond organizational leadership, I have represented the humanitarian and development community at national policy and coordination levels, including serving as Chairman of a forum representing 44 international organizations. I am passionate about building high-performing teams, advancing sustainable impact, and delivering effective solutions for vulnerable communities in complex environments.
Over the past 21 years, I have held progressive leadership roles across humanitarian and development organizations at country, regional, and global levels. My experience spans strategic leadership, humanitarian response, programme quality, partnerships, operations, donor engagement, and organizational management in complex and fragile environments across Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
I currently serve as Country Director for Save the Children in Pakistan, leading a diverse portfolio of development, humanitarian, and peacebuilding programmes. Previously, I held senior regional and global advisory positions supporting country offices across Asia and multiple emergency responses worldwide. My career has included leadership assignments in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Yemen, Iraq, Syria, Turkey, Jordan, Libya, Tunisia, Sierra Leone, the Philippines, Denmark, and Singapore.
Throughout my career, I have worked closely with governments, donors, UN agencies, civil society organizations, and local partners to strengthen programme impact, operational excellence, humanitarian coordination, and sustainable development outcomes for vulnerable communities.
I hold a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance. My academic qualifications are complemented by advanced professional certifications in humanitarian action, child protection, emergency management, and organizational leadership. Most recently, I completed the ECO Leadership Programme in Ireland, a multi-module executive leadership course focused on adaptive leadership, systems thinking, organizational transformation, and leading in complex environments.
Together, my academic and professional development have equipped me with strong expertise in strategic leadership, financial stewardship, organizational management, and humanitarian and development programming.
