Engineer Assistant, setting up tripod for Total Stations to read slope distances from the instrument to a particular point, and Dumpy level to establish or check points in the same horizontal plane. The job also involved taking some of the concrete that was to be used on a job and put them in adjustable cubes, to send off for testing to make sure it is suitable. I was very grateful to be working in the Military Of Defence because; it showed that I was able to work with a high security routine, sometimes in hard conditions and under a lot of pressure.
We had to undergo a large amount of check-ups and wait for clearance, my name was totally clean so I became an escort for others.
