During lockdown whilst on furlough, I started to train as an event stylist & balloon artist, before starting my own small business. Being able to be creative has really unlocked a passion for events and although this has given me fantastic experiences in running my own business and being my own boss I have missed being working as part of a team.

I was internally promoted to Front Office Manager – this role is Head of Department for all Front Office Managers and leading a team of 30 people. The role is very guest focused which is where my passion lays – creating guest experiences by going the extra mile. I also lead a great team of managers and colleagues by sharing my knowledge with them, working on their personal development and ensuring high standards are being followed.
I also hold the DPS (liquor licence) for the St Giles Hotel & hold a Certificate in Health & Safety risk assessing. Some of my biggest challenges to date here have been a system change from HIS to Opera PMS, a full hotel Lock Change, a complete front office refurb following a huge flood as well as the day to day challenges this role brings. After gaining such invaluable skills in such a fast past hotel (731 bedrooms) I am now ready for a new challenge.

During my time with Premier Inn, I assisted with the Opening of PI Stansted Airport as the Reception Team Leader, I was then promoted to run PI Harlow. My duties here included looking after a team of 24 including Reception, House Keeping & Maintenance. Running the business including things like managing profit & loss, maximising sales, budgets & ensuring the Guest Journey was always at the heart of everything.
I have received 2 Green audits in Finance & Health & Safety. I am now looking to bring these skills & knowledge to a new role where I can lead another successful team.

My responsibilities included organising and ensuring all domestic arrangements were in place including team meetings, travel, itineraries, flights and hotels as well as dealing with all staff expenses. Dealing with queries/complaints, striving to exceed expectations, and providing impeccable customer service at all times was a vital part of my role. I was also required to help motivate, coach and develop fellow team members, and ensure a customer focused attitude was portrayed at all times.
I was also responsible for maintaining all calls/emails and dealing with staff personal files including absence/holidays and producing minutes for team meetings ensuring information was kept accurate, complete and up to date.

Working on the Customer Service desk was my initial role with this company, dealing with customer queries and complaints, as well as refunds and general store queries. Ad hoc queries about facilities available in the area would also arise. I was also instrumental in the planning and delivering of store charity events e.g.
Children in Need, Tickled Pink. Motivating fellow colleagues to promote and be passionate about raising money for such fantastic causes was an area in which I exceeded expectations. I dealt with all press and media for the store, arranging in store events to up sell products and increase departmental sales.
