Experience

Support Worker - Nelcare - London, ENG

Currently working in a semi – independent environment with young asylum seekers & young offenders aged between 16 – 18 years old. Also conduct weekly key work sessions with young people as well as write daily, weekly and monthly reports. Support Worker - Community Building Management - London, ENG

(2019-05 - 2023-01)

Currently support young people in a semi - independent unit between the age of 15 -18 years with various care needs such as child sexual exploitation, youth offending, emotional and physical abuse. One of the biggest accomplishments to date was supporting a young person how had extensive behavioural issues and supporting them to now be someone who eventually became spokesperson and role model for unit. This was achieved through gaining trust, respect and an understanding of the needs of this young person.

As well as, working with the young person to implement a behavioural intervention plan to support this young person.

Support Worker - Netpex - London, ENG

(2019-06 - 2020-02)

Supported 5 young males within the criminal justice system in a semi - independent unit. Within the post I was able to provide the necessary support to assist them to integrate better in society, through conducting key work and group work sessions focusing on topics such as gang violence and looking at young males who are now reformed and living a crime free life. Supported a young person back into education through encouraging them onto a motor mechanics course by sowing them the benefits such as building up to owning their own garage through the support of organisations such as Princess Trust.

This was an exceptional achievement as this young person had been out of education for 4 years.
