I have a wealth of real life experience to bring gained from being a front line police officer, i can offer a vast background of working front facing with the general public under some extremely challenging conditions, i have extensive experience working with multiple outside agencies and i bring an approachable empathetic manner with strong communication and negotiation abilities. I bring links to complex investigations within the public sector, working closely with many disabled, troubled children and families alongside the relevant outside agencies, Cahms, Safelives Domestic Abuse charity and Youth offending teams and homeless charity’s.
I have experience of school liaison which saw me speaking with children to educate them on anything from bullying, drugs, reaching out for assistance with mental health issues to confidence building skills and safety when walking home alone at night and from school. I am experienced working under pressure and to tight time lines with the ability to manage multiple cases of complex and conflicting information. My Current job roll sees me covering both the Covid 19 track and trace team and the cost of living payment team, which deals with live calls from citizens who require help with cost of living many are disabled and or elderly people, while this sees me working completely remotely!
I still do genuinely enjoy the team environment and coming from a police background fully understand the importance of having work colleagues bring their ideas and input into complex investigations. My previous roll saw me having a totally open door policy as the shifts acting sergeant, I believe everyone should feel comfortable to come in and talk whether it be for an operational issue a new idea or for something they may be concerned or worried about.
