Experience

Warehouse Picker/packer - Boots D82

(2023 - 2023)

During this two-week work placement, I worked as part of a team in a fast-paced warehouse environment, picking and preparing customer orders with accuracy and efficiency. I used handheld scanners to locate items and ensure that orders were packed correctly and dispatched on time. I also supported basic stock checks and restocking tasks, consistently meeting daily targets while adhering to health and safety guidelines.

The role required strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work well under pressure. Throughout the placement, I quickly adapted to the demands of the role and became a confident and dependable member of the team.

Volunteer - Himmah Food Bank

(2023 - 2023)

Through The Prince's Trust, I completed a two-week work placement with Himmah Food Bank, gaining experience as a cashier. In the cashier role, I served customers purchasing low-cost food items, providing friendly and efficient service. I assisted with unloading deliveries, sorting and moving stock, and packing food parcels for distribution.

This placement gave me valuable insight into working in a community-focused environment and strengthened my teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.

Course Participant - Prince's Trust

(2023 - 2023)

I completed a twelve-week Prince's Trust course focused on teamwork, leadership, and community engagement. As part of the program, I participated in the work placements mentioned above. During the course, I led a team of four in a local charity project, where I was responsible for managing the budget and coordinating the distribution of essential supplies.

This experience helped me develop strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills while making a positive impact in the community.

Program Participant - Equipped 2 Succeed

(2026-01 - 2026)

Starting January 2026 I participated in and completed an 8 week employability skills program. During this program I developed core skills such as: self-management, team work, customer awareness and problem solving. This course was also useful by providing techniques and guides to be more efficient, reliable and energized for any future endeavours.
