I hold a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and am a mid-career scientific scholar with 64 peer-reviewed journal publications, 2 book chapters, and 1 patent. I have received training across multidisciplinary fields, including Biochemistry, Phytomedicine, Biotechnology, Microbiology, and green nanotechnology. My research aims to address global health challenges through interdisciplinary approaches utilizing advanced analytical techniques to synthesise biogenic metal and metallic oxide nanoparticles using extracts from medicinal plants, as well as to investigate their biological activities, particularly targeting diseases affecting human health, such as cancer, bacterial infections, and inflammation.
I have co-supervised and mentored over 20 postgraduate students in Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Pharmacy. Additionally, I have presented my research findings at international scientific conferences. I possess exemplary written and verbal communication skills and am adept at prioritizing and managing my workload efficiently.
Furthermore, I demonstrate strong problem-solving capabilities, characterized by innovation and creativity in overcoming research challenges. I work effectively within team settings, am proficient in utilizing various analytical and biochemical instruments in laboratory environments, and have extensive experience in bibliometric analysis and systematic reviews.
