About

I am a hardworking, motivated and enthusiastic person who enjoys working both on my own and as part of a team. I have always had a strong interest in vehicles and have wanted to work with them from a young age. I have started my career with a panel beater apprenticeship, which has given me good hands-on experience and helped me understand what it is like to work in the motor trade.

Although I have enjoyed my time as a panel beater, my main goal is to become a mechanic/vehicle technician. I am now looking for an opportunity to learn new skills, gain more experience and work towards becoming fully qualified. I am keen to learn, willing to work hard and would love the opportunity to develop my career with your company.

Experience

Apprentice Panel Beater - Ashgrove Body Centre / Fix Auto Elgin - Elgin

(2025-10)

Working as an apprentice panel beater.

Assisting qualified panel beaters with vehicle repairs and bodywork.
Removing and fitting vehicle body panels and parts.
Repairing dents, scratches and damaged bodywork.
Repairing panels for repair, including sanding, filling and cleaning. Using hand tools and workshop equipment safely.
Helping to strip and rebuild vehicles for repairs.
Carrying out basic checks and making sure repairs are completed to a good standard.
Keeping the workshop and work area clean and organised.
Following health and safety procedures.
Learning how to identify vehicle damage and the correct repair methods.
Working as part of a team and taking instructions from experienced technicians.

Assistant Joiner - Garden Timber Solutions - Moray

Working as and when required alongside a qualified joiner with over 30 years' experience. Currently working on various projects in Moray including garden development and fencing or any other tasks asked for.

Roofer - D Fairbrother Roofing

(2021-08)

Work experience placement as and when required, working within the roofing trade to assist and gain experience within this role, to learn about working within a building site and learning how to be safe in that environment.
