I have 11 years of experience working in a Local Studies Archive, and have a MLitt in Archive Management from Dundee University. I also have experience of working in public libraries, and as a carer for familymembers. Additional qualifications are a PGCE in primary education, and a Masters in Children's Literature. I am looking for a post in which I can use my varied skill base to follow my passions for history, public heritage and education.
I worked in admin for many years, before studying to become a primary teacher. As a result of family responsibilities I left teaching to work for a local government library service, in the Archive. I enjoyed this so much I did an MLitt in Archive Management.
I have worked in the archive for 11 years, and a year ago I went full-time, working half the week at a busy lending library. I have excellent organisational and customer service skills and a passion for history and the promotion of local heritage.
