• In this placement, I gained insight into pharmaceutical industry operations and the role of Quality Control in supporting pharmaceutical product quality and patient safety.
• I worked alongside a member of the Quality Control team to develop an understanding of quality-focused activities within a pharmaceutical company.
• I have developed awareness of scientific accuracy, documentation, compliance and attention to detail within a regulated pharmaceutical environment. I joined in with one of their regular meetings, which helped me understand more about the technical side of the pharmaceutical industry.
• I have contributed ideas during this placement, whilst building a clearer understanding of the relationship between pharmaceutical manufacturing, quality processes, and the safety of pharmaceutical products.
