I am a Restorative Justice Practitioner who has been accredited since 2022 as an Intermediate Restorative Justice Practitioner from the restorative justice council. I have experience of managing a caseload including sensitive and complex cases. Within my role I have delivered both direct and indirect interventions in low level offences and sensitive and complex cases. I have led out on briefings to different agencies, co-worked on workshop/sessions in schools, universities, prisons and probation. I am keen to find a challenging & suitable position with an ambitious company that offers opportunities for my career development and advancement.
Restorative Justice Practitioner
Making proactive calls to victims to offer
RJ Facilitating RJ interventions either direct or indirect
Working with offenders in the community and in custody
Working S&C cases
Liaising with partner agencies such as probation, police, prisons, social care
Attending the out of court disposal panel and IOM meetings
Using CMS (Case Management System) and Niche to log actions completed on cases
Risk assessing every case to ensure RJ can be done safely
Prison Custody Officer Key Responsibilities
Performing security checks and search procedures
Supervising detainees, keeping an account of those in my charge and maintaining order
Supervising visits and carrying out patrol duties
Responsible for the safe and secure movement of people in custody
Advising and counselling detainees and ensuring they have access to professional help
Performing authorised physical control and restraint procedures where appropriate
Ensure the welfare of people in custody, including conducting risk assessments for vulnerable or at-risk people
Being aware of prisoners’ rights, dignity, and their personal responsibility
Promoting anti-bullying and suicide prevention policies
Liaise with third party agencies including the police and prison service to ensure correct documentation is completed
Acting as the officer in charge when the CCM is not in
