I am a highly motivated, hardworking and reliable individual who has completed an MSc in Physics at Surrey University, with the grade of First Class and have recently begun a PhD in Biomedical Engineering. I enjoy working in a hands-on environment and relish a challenge. I have several years of retail and front of house experience, including some management responsibilities such as cashing up, training new staff, and lone working.
During my MSc I worked full time in a lab to support my studies and was able to achieve high standards in both. During my undergraduate placement year, I gained a wide range of experience outside of the role, such as supporting open days, leading tours of the facility and organising events such as conferences.
I have been in a number of front-of-house roles from which I developed skills such as time management and teamwork in busy, fast paced environments. All my duties gave me excellent communication skills as well as leadership skills in other members of staff. I trained and supervised a number of staff and was trusted to cash and lock up.
During my time at Rileys Snooker Hall I was trained to a high-level position where I was trusted to work alone, train junior members of staff and assist during large events.
