I am an individual who is able to work on my own initiative as well as in a team. I pride myself on being a methodical and approachable individual with good communication skills. As well as this, I like helping others in a practical and organised way and I enjoy work which requires attention to detail. I am also an individual who works well under pressure in stressful situations.

I worked independently in the early hours of the morning and interacted with customers daily. I dealt with any complaints or questions the customers had a resolved or answered them. I was responsible for arriving at opening time of the store and that each customer received their newspaper in a good condition. I was relied upon by my employer to make sure that each paper was delivered on time and that it wasn't, ripped, wet or damaged.

Work experience - Sherborne Primary School

When I carried out my work experience here, I had many responsibilities that ranged from making sure all the children were okay to seeing how well they were doing with their lessons and reading. Throughout this experience I learned how to be patient and understanding, so that I could make sure each child was recaching their full potential.

Café staff - Boswell's - Yeovil

(2023-10 - 2025-04)

Throughout this time, I worked in a café in Yeovil which within I have multiple responsibilities. Depending on my role for the day I could be, making sure the whole café is clean and presentable for entering customers, making sure all the food that is made is delivered to the customers, making sure all customers are served, cleaning all the dishes and finally could be ensuring all customers receive presentable and delicious food. All these responsibilities are crucial for the cafe to function properly.

Through this job I also needed to do an internal training certificate in intermediate food hygiene.

Animal care assistant - Paws N Klaws Pet Services - Ilchester

(2025-01 - 2026-04)

At Paws and Klaws, I worked as an animal care assistant in Ilchester, in which I had many important responsibilities. Throughout the day I had to ensure all the dog's welfare is being kept to a high standard, and I did this by creating an enriching and safe environment for them. I also had to ensure all dogs get their assigned foods at specific times.

On top of this I engaged with customers throughout the day, during drop off and pick up times and they talked to me about their dog's necessary needs. I have had many responsibilities whilst working here, and it has taught me to thrive under pressure and in a fast-moving environment. Throughout working here, I have learnt many skills ranging from customer service skills to time keeping.
