I currently work within a Devon County Council Maintained Primary School. I have used my skills and experience to prioritise workload in an extremely busy environment with constant interruptions. I will switch between day-to-day tasks and longer term projects such as ensuring a balanced five year budget, delegating where appropriate whilst ensuring the workload of my team is manageable.
I have a sound management and HR/ER background with the skills learned from a Masters in Personnel and Development. Having gained experience in a large company I utilise knowledge of Employment Law and policies and procedures within Devon County Council. I have built a good foundation with Trade Unions through successful stakeholder management.
I am an enthusiastic, passionate, self-motivated individual who always strives to achieve the highest of standards and keep up to date with changes. I'm a strong team leader who works with people to bring the best out of them.
School Administration Manager - The Beacon Church of England (VA) Primary School
Maintain the effective deployment of a local budget, provide support services, ensure a sound management and development plan. Completion of all statutory and non-statutory returns in accordance with strict deadlines. Provide a broad authoritative knowledge to influence decisions and communicate effectively to the school leadership team and Governing Board.
Support the Headteacher in the administration of the Learning Community. Issue all Personnel Contracts of Employment and take overall responsibility for providing recommendations/ guidance on a range of Human Resources issues, such as managing absence, capability, annual leave, working conditions.
