Working for the Tyre Recovery Association (TRA) as a Membership and Marketing Administrator.
- Dealing with all emails in a timely manner
- Dealing with social media for the TRA such as linked in and Facebook
- Dealing with both full and affiliate members on a daily basis keeping them up to date with any policy changes and any new statistics that maybe helpful to the company
- Organising teams meeting whilst face to face may still not be feasible at times
- Organising hotel and travel arrangements for members and staff members
- Dealing with the TRA Secretary General on a daily basis regarding drafting emails, drafting minuets, drafting letters to government
- Dealing with the daily running of the TRA such as website maintenance, file organisation, answering telephone calls and post office drop offs
- Being polite, friendly and helpful on the phone at all times
- Organising a quarterly newsletter to go to print
- Ordering and organising office supplies
- Making sure all legal documentation is up to date
- Organising yearly audits for members
- Contacting potential new members via linked in, email or phone calls
- Speaking to members both full and affiliate monthly to see how the TRA can improve / help their members more
Receptionist/Administrator - Doctor's Surgery - Aylesbury

My current role of receptionist/administrator at a local doctors surgery requires me to carry out the following:
- Checking in patients for their appointments and making sure they know where they are going on arrival
- Making sure all documents are stored appropriately and in relation to the data protection act
- Taking on responsibilty for closing of the branch in the evenings
- Keeping an eye on running times of appointments and making sure no one has missed their appointment and they are kept informed if any doctor or nurse is running late
- Being polite, proffesional and helpful when answering calls that come to the surgery making sure attention to detail is key, all information given and passed on is accurate and the patient is happy with the outcome
- Dealing with stressful situations with a calm and collected nature to ensure either patient, doctor or paramedic are engaged, aware and understanding
- Keeping on top of new patient registrations this ranges from calling patients if information is missing, collating information from emails, daily post and documents handed in to reception to complete the forms, calling patients once they have been registered to inform them of their named doctor and following up with any calls if any further information is needed
- Working closely with other departments and other practises to make sure there is smooth and efficient working
- Learning new IT programmes from video conferences or learning modules online and passing on new knowledge to colleagues so they share the understanding
- Making sure all administration is kept up to date and duplicate documents are always ready for if and when needed to prevent delay in handing these over to patients

I stayed within the same firm of solicitors but moved from a part time receptionist to a full time administrative assistant working within the conveyancing team.

I moved to a project coordinator role, which involved providing outstanding front facing customer relations, high level of organisational skills such as organising hotel rooms, flight bookings, car hire and taxi bookings, conference room bookings. A very high level of attention to detail, problem solving if any issues arose and needed to be dealt with quickly and effectively and to be actively involved with creating a good/positive working environment for all.

I worked as a Parts Advisor in Halfords but I also worked as a stock handler both aspects required - excellent customer service levels, a friendly and approachable nature, great time keeping and a strong work ethic.
