I have experience in care, mostly assisted living but have experience in using safety equipment to ensure the quality of care. I completed a few training courses including meditation administration, dementia awareness, epilepsy awareness and moving and handling. I have a passion for caring for the older generation and for those with incapacity. I always work my hardest and my best to ensure the standard of care is met.
I have good communication skills and can work well in a team. I am always positive about my work and have a lot of dedication. I have a great sense of humour and I am easy to get along with. My biggest skill is respect, I treat others how I would like to be treated, which makes me who I am.
I worked for Hanover Scotland. I worked there for 4 months however I learned so much about the care industry. I completed training within my time there and carried out a high standard of care. I completed my moving and handling training which allowed me to be able to use stand aids and hoists correctly and safely.
I also completed my medication training which allowed me to be able to administer medication properly and safely. I completed my dementia awareness which made me realise how to be aware of people with dementia, how to spot it and how to interact with them appropriately. I also completed epilepsy awareness which taught me how to be aware of epilepsy, what to do in a situation in which someone has epileptic issues and how to treat it.
At Elgin high school I completed 2 highers in my final year. These were Literature and Modern studies and I resulted in getting a B for literature and a D for modern studies. The year before I studied national 5 biology and national 5 maths and resulted in getting a C for biology and a C for maths.
I then studied at Moray College and studied childcare. I got a diploma in level 5.
