About

I am a motivated and a hardworking individual I have worked at Fakenham Medical Practice. I have completed both GCSE and A-Levels which were done at Fakenham Academy. Whilst at the Academy I was chosen by my Tutor to become the art and design ambassador.

This allowed me to help others who were struggling by motivating them and pushing them to their full potential. I am good at working in groups and individually to make sure I meet the needs of those around me by using problem solving skills which I have learnt working in busy environments. I work well under pressure and make sure that the tasks I complete are done to the best of my ability.

These skills are particularly important whilst I was working in Fakenham Medical Practice as it was my responsibility to make sure patients were treated fairly and cared for to the best of my ability. I have learnt how to use both System One and also Footfall which was used regularly by both patients and employees. This has helped to improve my IT skills.

I am Currently working at ACES eye clinic in Fakenham. I work in administration so this means I deal with patients face to face checking them in for appointments and handling reception queries and phone calls. I also deal with prepping paperwork for clinics and theatres and sending off referrals for the clinician's.

In my spare time I love painting and work on commissions from people who request artwork. I also enjoy sewing and going for long walks.

Patient coordinator in the reception team at Fakenham Medical Practice (2021-09 – 2023-05)

I started this role as an apprentice for a course in business administration level 3. After studying this course for around 13 months I passed and got my certificate. I was then working as a full time patient coordinator in the reception team at Fakenham Medical Practice in a great team of individuals where I have learnt to grow in confidence and transfer my skill set on to others.

I have gained lots of new skills and knowledge in this role and now know how to face problems head on. This was Challenged especially during COVID when I had to help with giving out a COVID vaccinations as it would be very worrying and busy which made a lot of patients anxious. I am now aware of what my role is and how I can use this to help others both employees and patients.

Health care assistant/administrator at Aces Eye Clinic in Fakenham. (2023-06 - Present)

I am Currently working at ACES eye clinic in Fakenham. When I first started at ACES my first 4 months was in the role of a Health Care assistant. I worked along side clinicians and surgeons in both glaucoma and laser clinics using optical equipment.

I also worked in theatre settings for cataract surgery and minor plastic operations. In October I decided to switch roles and work in Admin. This role has been very challenging and has helped improve my problem solving skills.

I helped to prep clinics and theatre notes ready for surgery, book patients in for appointments and answer queries, order lenses for surgeries, write referrals for clinicians and take calls. Both of these job roles were very rewarding, being able to make a difference to each individual patient.
