Layla Peters

I am a polite, friendly individual with a passion for animal health and care. I am very capable of working alone or as part of a team. I am prepared to work flexible hours and undertake necessary training required. My personal interests and hobbies are pet respite, attending the gym, reading, and socialising with friends and family.

I have recently finished a Level 3 course at Bridgend College. During my college course I have learned the importance of communication, working independently and working with others. Currently I have a Saturday job as a receptionist in Barrmore Vets, which has given me fundamental experience at working as part of a team and also with the public, providing empathy where needed and good customer service.

Part of my role is to update client files, take payments, organise appointments, offer basic advise and I also countersign purchased medication. Having these responsibilities has given me confidence at developing my skills through practical training and maintaining honesty. I also work casual shifts at Pencoed college animal centre, both roles have given me vast experience and knowledge of how to deal with difficult or negative situations.

Along with the negative, I always find there is a positive.
