Leah Fraser

I have worked and lived in Totnes and Dartington for most of my life and have a strong sense of affection for Dartingon having taught in the Primary School there for over twenty years. As English lead I have recognised the importance of books to enhance and enrich the lives of children as they become lifelong readers. I am an excellent communicator with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

I have always fostered great working relationships with my colleagues and team members. I use IT consistently in my job to both educate, keep records and create presentations. I have previously worked in retail and have worked hard to provide the best customer care.

I have been a class teacher for the past thirty years with a wide range of leadership experience. This includes phase leadership where I managed the curriculum, deployment of adults in my team and the day to day running of the timetable. I have been English Lead for many years, holding responsibility for the progress across the school in Reading and Writing.

I have a BEd hons degree in History and most recently completed a National Professional Qualification For Senior Leaders. This was focused on disadvantaged readers in Primary School where I undertook a project to raise the profile of reading across the school and community.
