- Working together with the Hotel Operations Manager.
- Pre-Opening of a brand-new hotel.
- Recruited and onboarded 25 Housekeeping team members.
- Organised a rolling weekly schedule of 9, 25, & 16 housekeepers.
- Accurately managed rosters, leave requirements and absences, ensuring appropriate guidelines were followed & to maintain efficient staff levels during peak periods, including holidays.
- Tracked absences and punctuality to determine timekeeping records.
- Coordinated all laundry and linen services, which included a weekly stock count, and liaised with the linen company to follow up on or understocked laundry rooms.
- Provided detailed ongoing training to Housekeeping staff to instil and maintain first-class cleaning and housekeeping standards.
- Coordinated stock replenishing activities by counting stock, ordering low stock supplies within the housekeeping budget, and distributing them to the laundry rooms.
- Conducted or attended all staff management duties, including appraisals, disciplinaries, Applications & Interviews, complaints, and delegating tasks.
- Motivated team members to deliver optimum results, leading by example through positive interactions with guests and staff.
- Evaluated housekeepers' performance, providing constructive feedback to improve efficiency.
- Worked closely with maintenance to ensure hotel rooms & public areas are fully maintained.
- Assessed finished rooms to maintain exceptional cleanliness standards, addressing and rectifying areas of concern with Housekeepers before sign-off.
- Implemented H&S processes.
