Leah Sammons

I am a motivated and reliable Early Years Practitioner with over 250 hours of hands-on experience in a fast-paced primary school environment, this has enabled me to be skilled in clear communication, conflict resolution, teamwork and maintaining confidence when supporting groups of children. Within this role I was flexible, dependable and honest, with the ability to remain calm, empathetic and neutral during challenging situations. I have strong IT skills supported with a high GCSE grade, alongside a solid GCSE mathematics grade.

I recently achieved the NCFE CACHE Level 2 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner; this is supported with a fully approved DBS check enabling me to be safe and effective when working with children and young people.

I completed over 250 hours of work placement supporting staff and pupils across the school, my responsibilities included: This role strengthened my confidence, teamwork, communication skills and ability to work effectively under pressure.

• Setting a positive example and supporting the children and staff with the daily routine.
• Assisting the practitioners with essential tasks such as washing up, tidying and preparing resources.
• Collecting printed materials and delivering messages between staff members.
• Helping maintain a calm, welcoming and organised environment by completing small but essential tasks that support the smooth running of the school day.
