Dear Sir or Madam I hope you are well and will see from my CV that my proven ability in installing and terminating cables (Fibre Optic / copper / Cat 5/6) during my 23 years of employment in Data Engineering makes me an excellent applicant for this position because as a reliable and resourceful Technician, I am very keen to transfer my skills and expertise to the Offshore Sustainable Energy industry. As well as the requisite GWO qualifications, safety knowledge and experience working at height, in confined spaces, on day / night shifts, and at multiple sites across the UK and Europe, I am proficient in all practical aspects of Cable installations - from preparing, pulling, stripping, routing, and cleating cables, to splicing, terminating and testing. As a motivated and proactive employee, I apply a cooperative and collaborative approach to teamwork, a vigilant approach to safety, a courteous approach to clientcommunication, and a conscientious approach to documentation. I always endeavor to add further value to my role and have consequently progressed with my current employer as well as led trial sites that have resulted in the winning of lucrative new contracts. I am now looking for a fresh challenge and have recentlyfinanced and completed my GWOs in order to launch a career in the Offshore Wind Industry.
