I’m a multi-disciplinary individual with almost 20 years experience in the environmental industry with qualifications in Asbestos, Quality Management, and Water Hygiene.
I began in the environmental industry in 2005 as a trainee asbestos surveyor, and in the the nearly 20 years since then I have held the following roles:
My Project Manager experience involved all aspects of asbestos removal; from arranging/delivering the survey to meet the clients’ needs, liaising with the client/licensed asbestos removal contractor/analytical consultancy to organise the removal works, and managing all stages from scoping, costing, vetting all documentation, and the overall delivery of a project - including arranging all isolations/re-connections etc. and liaising with facilities management for reinstatement works.
My managerial roles involved leading a small team of surveyors that completed all types of surveys for the commercial, educational and housing sectors. I was responsible for the auditing of their site work including completed reports in addition to ensuring the UKAS accredited audit was successful each year as part of my secondary role as Deputy Technical Quality Manager. I was also involved with the implementation of TEAMS asbestos software.
My responsibilities also included extensive client liaison and consultancy, resource/financial planning, monthly meetings to discuss KPIs, and input with tender applications.
My career goal is to further my asbestos knowledge by gaining all relevant qualifications in order to gain the C.O.C.A status, and eventually assume a role that allows me to take advantage of all disciplines within the asbestos sector for a well-respected company.
