Joined the river straight from school and got an apprenticeship through ‘Thames Clippers’. I have worked here for 5 years now and have achieved many licenses that I am very proud of including my Powerboat Level 2, Day Skipper, Yachtmaster Coastal and BML Tier 1 Level 2 with a passenger endorsement on top of that. I also have full STCW certificates and a list of training including radar proficiencies and ECS training.
I have worked my way up from deckhand to first mate and now in the process of being signed off on vessels as a master as I await my local knowledge exam.
I have worked for Thames Clippers for 5 years, working my way up as an apprentice to a deckhand, and now currently a first mate. I am now in the process of becoming a master as I have been receiving training and sign offs on vessels at the company.
I attended Holcombe Grammar School for my entire secondary education. In this time I achieved both GCSE’s and A Levels there; this included:
