I am a motivated and enthusiastic labourer with five National 5 qualifications, seeking an apprenticeship within the construction industry. I have nearly four years of hands-on labouring experience and a strong interest in all aspects of the building trade. I bring solid written and verbal communication skills, along with key strengths including problem-solving, decision-making, and a strong work ethic.
I take pride in producing high-quality work and consistently pay close attention to detail. I am driven, reliable, and eager to develop my skills further by learning a trade. I am currently preparing for my driving test and aim to have a full licence by the summer, which will further support my flexibility and commitment to work.

The main duties and responsibilities of a sales assistant is to help customers identify and purchase products they desire, selling, restocking and merchandising. The goal is to provide high class customer service and to increase the companies growth and revenue through sales maximization.

A Sandwich Artist greets and serves guests, prepares food, maintains food safety and sanitation standards, and handles or processes light paperwork. During the Covid-19 outbreak I worked in Tesco in the Click and collect department. The main duties of this role is sorting the orders for the rest of the day, delivering the customers shopping to their car and helping them pack it in the car which requires great customer service and attention to detail.
Labourer at A Menzies and Sons. Slating, Plastering and Building contractors (2022-06 – 2026-02)
Worked as a general labourer supporting a range of construction trades including slaters, plasterers, and builders domestic projects and repairs. Responsible for preparing work areas, maintaining site cleanliness, and assisting skilled tradespeople with day-to-day tasks to ensure projects were completed efficiently and safely. Duties included transporting materials such as slates, tiles, lead, plaster, sand, cement and timber; mixing mortar and plaster to required specifications; and preparing surfaces for plastering and roofing work.
Assisted in removing old materials, setting up scaffolding areas, and ensuring tools and equipment were readily available and clean for tradesmen. Maintained high standards of health and safety by using appropriate PPE, following site regulations, and keeping workspaces organised to minimise hazards. Developed strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills while working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
Gained hands-on experience across multiple areas of construction, building a solid understanding of roofing, plastering, and general building processes.
