Trainee Barber - Rutledge Recruitment

I started a trainee Barbers course in August 2024 with the Rutledge group and whilst I enjoyed learning Barbers skills, due to a change in personal circumstances I decided to move on to a full-time job when the opportunity arose in January 2025.

Agency Van Driver/Warehouse Operative - City Electrical Factors (Temporary) - East Belfast

I completed a full-time temporary assignment to City Electrical Factors as Company Van driver in their East Belfast branch from February'24 to April'24 covering sick leave. I delivered to their other branches, customers and building sites, I also collected items and assisted in the store and warehouse, preparing orders and helping with stock-takes, and in the office and shop, taking calls and assisting customers.

Agency Multi-Drop Driver – Class 1 - DHL (Temporary)

I was allocated to DHL for a seasonal Christmas assignment as Multi-drop driver, driving a 3.5t van, for the month of December'23 and into January'24, delivering up to 80-100 parcels per day. I also worked sickness cover shifts in January'24.

Casual Sales Assistant - Jack & Jones

I worked casual shifts as sales assistant in the Jack & Jones city centre store alongside my casual shifts with Eventsec.

Recreation Assistant - GLL

I completed my Lifeguard training with GLL, obtaining my Level 2 NPLQ and Level 2 AED in April'23 and worked for a short time as Recreation Assistant/Lifeguard, carrying out various duties as well as Lifeguard duties, including maintaining public areas, setting up for activities and assisting customers.

Agency Warehouse Operative - Ashton Recruitment (Temp)

I worked as agency staff for a period with Ashton Recruitment while at college, over the Christmas holidays, working as a warehouse operative covering night shifts at DHL and UPS, scanning, sorting and organizing parcels for delivery. I enjoy the social aspect of working as part of a team.

Event Steward - Eventsec

I started working as casual Event Steward for Eventsec while studying full-time at Belfast Met, and continued to do so after leaving full-time education. I have worked at a variety of different events including music concerts and sporting events in both Dublin and Belfast. I have had various responsibilities, checking tickets, showing those attending the events to their seats, clearing up at the end of an event and assisting customers in any way I can.

I enjoy working with a team of staff, engaging with the public and working at a variety of events.

Floor/Waiting Staff - Malone RFC

I worked as floor staff/ waiter at the one-off Festival of Rugby at Malone RFC. This entailed me taking drinks and food orders, serving the orders, taking payments, assisting customers and clearing tables.

Activity Marshall - We Are Vertigo - Titanic

I worked casual weekend and evening hours in We Are Vertigo, Titanic whilst still at school. I worked as an Activity Marshall in the Inflata Park and Ninja Course, supervising, monitoring and assisting all those taking part in the Centre's activities. I also helped out in the coffee shop.

I had to deal with members of the public, both adults and children and enjoyed interacting with them, helping them in any way I could. I enjoyed working as part of a team and was happy to carry out any duties required, including monitoring the equipment and clearing up at the end of each session.
