I have over 30 years' experience in healthcare and now looking for a change. I started as a care worker and have worked my way to senior management; working in both residential and nursing metal health environments.
Banks closed, I was appointed compliance manager for the company. I have oversite of three homes for all compliance issues, managing a team of three. The main purpose of the role is to monitor regulatory compliance, find out where things may have gone wrong and look for a solution.
We work alongside the home managers, nurses, carers, housekeeping, maintenance and admin staff to achieve these aims. I have had a pivotal role when outside inspections are made for example with CQC and Infection Control inspections which has led to improvement in the ratings of two of the homes. The other home is just newly built which my team played a pivotal part of setting up for compliance.
