Leyla Barrett

I am a highly driven individual who loves working within the customer service industry. I have just started out in my career and have enjoyed working as a salon assistant over the past 4 months which has helped me to gain experience working with customers, improve my organisational skills and learn skills such as booking and organising appointments using a diary system, handling payments and ensuring a clean and hygienic working environment.

Although I have just started out in my career I am extremely eager to learn and I give 100% to everything I do. I have excellent time management skills and love to deliver a very high standard customer service experience - always delivering this with a smile.

In my spare time I enjoy socialising with friends and family, swimming and playing netball.

I have been working at Ugly Betty’s beauty salon for the past 4 months as a salon assistant. Within this role I was required to greet and engage with customers, handle payments and transactions, book appointments using a diary system, manage telephone calls and general enquiries and clean the salon ensuring a high standard of hygiene. During this time I learnt organisational skills and gained a huge amount of experience relating to customer service.

I had to have excellent time management skills and work with a level of flexibility.

I am currently taking my GCSE’s which are due to finish in the next few weeks. I am on target to achieve 5 GCSE’s grades 4 and above.
